About the Fire Department
The goal of the Malden Fire Department is to prevent fires from occurring and to prevent related hazardous conditions from endangering those we serve. We do this through community education initiatives and fire prevention code and regulation development and enforcement. The members of the Fire Department stand ready 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, to quickly and efficiently combat fire wherever and whenever it may occur and professionally mitigate all other emergency incidents to which we respond.
 

Overview
Since April 10, 1839 the Malden Fire Department has protected the lives and property of Malden’s citizens, business owners and all others who visit our city from fire and other emergencies. The main goal of the Malden Fire Department is to prevent fires from occurring and to prevent related hazardous conditions from endangering those we serve. We do this through community education initiatives and fire prevention code and regulation development and enforcement.
