The City of Malden requires every home and business owner to remove snow and ice from sidewalks abutting their property or possibly face fines ranging between $25 and $200
(Click Here to view City's snow and ice removal ordinance). To help residents who need assistance in complying with this Ordinance, the City has compiled a list of Service Providers who will perform snow and ice removal services for a reasonable fee.
Snow and Ice Removal Service Poviders have been asked by the City to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Service Provider will call you to let you know time of arrival.
2. Upon arrival, Service Provider will ring your doorbell and provide both a personal photo identification as well as City of Malden identification.
3. Before beginning work, the cost and the scope of work to be performed should be determined.
• The minimum charge is $15 for shoveling front steps, front walkway and a normal sidewalk frontage (30 to 50 feet is considered a normal frontage); and
• The cost of additional work, if any, will be negotiated before any work is performed.
4. Service Providers should NEVER enter your home for any reason.
5. Upon completion of work, Service Provider will ring the doorbell for final inspection and payment.
