Make way for the Changing Lanes Bowling Tournament, a new tradition to support the Golden Tornado Club. Malden has changed lanes in the last year, from Mayor Howard to Mayor Christenson and now from a classic golf tournament to a fun-filled bowling tournament!

The Golden Tornado Club is a booster organization that provides over $10,000 in scholarships to student athletes each year, helps provide team equipment, awards, recognition, as well as general individual support for student athletes of the Malden Public School system. “We are one of the few communities that do not charge a user fee for students to participate in athletics. The Golden Tornado Club, through its fundraising efforts, has been able to give back to the Athletic Department ensuring that kids of all socioeconomic backgrounds can always participate. Help from residents and business in seeing this initiative thrive is greatly appreciated,” added Golden Tornado Club President Richard Bransfield.

The Changing Lanes Bowling Tournament will take place at Town Line Ten Pin, 665 Broadway, Malden on Thursday, October 18, 2012 with a cocktail hour from 5-7 PM, bowling from 7-9 PM, and awards and presentations from 9-10 PM. The tournament will include bowling, music, raffles, and a trophy for the winning team!
