Celebrating Home Health and Hospice Care Month 2017

Mayor Gary Christenson recently joined the Hallmark Health Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice (HHVNA and Hospice) on a home visit in recognition of “Home Health and Hospice Care Month.” The Mayor visited the home of Malden resident Rose Mazzone, 91.

In addition to his visit, the Mayor presented Dana DeMiles, Director of Marketing and Business Development of HHVNA and Hospice with a proclamation announcing November 2017 as National Home Health and Hospice Care Month. The proclamation acknowledged the Agency’s dedicated homecare and hospice professionals who play a vital role in healthcare delivery to the residents of Malden and 23 surrounding cities and towns. To further promote the exceptional work of HHVNA and Hospice, government officials will join staff on home visits throughout the month. Observed during these visits are the important roles home health and hospice plays in the lives of constituents. HHVNA and Hospice, located in Malden, has served the Malden community for more than 117 years.
