City Wide Student Poster Contest

Tuesday, August 8, 2017

Late last spring the Mayor’s office invited students in all of Malden’s K-8 schools to participate in a poster contest with the criteria that their artwork show why Malden is such a wonderful place to live. The idea was for the City to showcase the work of our talented students on the City’s website, electronic billboard, and social media sites. Students were encouraged to be as creative as possible and the winning poster from each of the participating schools include a tribute to our schools, veterans and how Malden is an overall great community! Many students participated and the winning posters were submitted by Katie Liang, Beebe School; Zhane Custis-Gavell, Ferryway School; Hellen Hoang, Forestdale School; and Keira Mickenzie, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School. Mayor Christenson recently welcomed the winning students and their parents to City Hall to congratulate them.
