Grand Opening of Papa John’s Pizza

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

Mayor Gary Christenson was on hand to celebrate the Grand Opening of Papa John's Pizza at 24 Eastern Avenue, the location of the former Verdone’s Pizzeria. Founded in 1984, Papa John’s International, Inc. is the world's third-largest pizza delivery company. The chain opened a Malden location following successful openings in Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan and Methuen. The eatery is ready to serve customers with take-out and delivery, offering classic and specialty pizzas, wings and breadsticks, plus desserts and has valuable offers for customers. The Eastern Avenue location is open daily until midnight and hopes to extend its hours next year. The owners have invested more than $250,000 in the property and are proud that they will offer employment opportunities to 45 people. The Mayor was extremely pleased to learn that Papa John’s has already hired 12 Malden youth!

Papa John’s Malden is very much looking forward to developing strong relationships with the schools, local community and the City. For more information, please call 781-605-1061.
