Mayor Gary Christenson will hold his monthly Public Safety Awareness meeting on Saturday, April 26th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on the Bike Path where it meets Broadway (behind the Hess Station). The Mayor will be joined by Police Chief Kevin Molis, Fire Chief Jack Colangeli, and Department of Public Works Director Bob Knox to discuss Bike Path safety and will answer questions and address concerns residents may have.
Pastor Rachel Manke of the First Lutheran Church and her congregation have generously offered to “adopt” this area of the Bike Path to help to keep clean. Immediately following the meeting, a Bike Path cleanup will be held. “We are excited residents are enjoying the Bike Path and we want to make sure they are aware of the best ways to stay safe while using it,” said Mayor Christenson. “We are very grateful to Pastor Manke for helping the City keep the Bike Path clean.” In the event of inclement weather, meeting will be held at First Lutheran Church, 62 Church Street at the corner Church & Waitt Streets.
Each month the Mayor holds a meeting in a different part of the City.
