OnStage Dance Company Grand Opening

Thursday, August 3, 2017

OnStage Dance Company recently celebrated the Grand Opening of a new studio at 665 Salem Street in the space formerly occupied by a ballroom dancing studio. OnStage, which relocated to Malden from Somerville, is a non-profit arts organization offering performance opportunities and dance classes for adult dancers as well as a variety of training and support programs for emerging choreographers and dance artists. Workshops are open to the public and classes are taught by up-and-coming and established instructors and choreographers from around the greater-Boston area. Additionally, they have a Residency Program where emerging choreographers are offered free studio space to create new work. Space is also available for rental to local instructors who are looking to hold their own classes such as Zumba, Yoga and private lessons. Open classes are typically held both on weekday evenings and weekend afternoons.

Business Owner and Executive Director Jennifer Crowell-Kuhnberg is excited to be a member of the Malden community and is looking forward to bringing special arts events - including their “Annual Arts Marathon” to Malden. They also hope to open their space to other types of artists such as musicians, comedians/spoken word, visual artists, artisans for special performances, celebrations and community events.
