On Saturday, May 10th from 9:00-1:00, all are invited to a Malden SafetyNet by LoJack Kickoff Event at the Forestdale School, 77 Sylvan Street from 9:00-1:00 p.m. Ralph Poland, Law Enforcement Liaison for SafetyNet will give a presentation from 10:00-10:30. This event is open to all and is of special interest to those parents and caretakers who have 24/7 watch on a loved one with special needs that can be at risk for running away. This includes any person with a cognitive disability, on the autism spectrum or has difficulty with communication skills. In addition, we are also reaching out to the seniors of the Malden community and to their caretakers that need the reassurance to know their loved ones who have Alzheimer’s or dementia.
The Event Will Feature:
- Lo Jack Presentation: Radio Frequency tracking bracelet aids First Responders in promptly locating individuals with special needs and memory issues in the event they become missing.
- Unified Sports Program for athletes of all abilities.
