Mayor Gary Christenson and Fire Chief Michael Murphy honored Malden Firefighter Brian Parow for his heroic lifesaving efforts of an individual while off duty. On June 12th, Brian was at his daughter’s college graduation at the Dorchester Yacht Club when a gentleman collapsed in cardiac arrest. Brian immediately began resuscitation efforts by performing CPR and utilizing the Club’s defibrillator until EMT’s responded. The man was breathing on his own by the time EMT’s arrived thanks to Brian Parow.
