City Human Resources

The Human Resources Department (HR) strives to provide excellent customer service to the employees and retirees of the City of Malden while working to attract and employ a workforce that is representative of the people the City serves. HR:

  • Administers benefits for Municipal, School and Retirees
  • Assists City Departments with all aspects of employee-related issues
  • Facilitates employee hiring processes
  • Handles personnel matters

Additionally, HR maintains a wide range of personnel benefits and programs to help sustain and grow a high quality and healthy workforce that meets the needs of Malden community and its municipal services.

Needing to enroll in medical & dental coverage:

Existing employees can enroll in coverage either during Open Enrollment (April - mid-May, effective July 1st of each year) or during a qualifying event (birth/adoption, marriage, involuntary loss of coverage, etc.) You must enroll within 30 days of your qualifying event. Click on Benefits to review your options to enroll.
