With Halloween upon us, Mayor Gary Christenson is reminding residents to do their part to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus by continuing to take all precautionary measures such as limiting private gatherings, maintaining social distancing, wearing a mask, and being cautious while in parks and other public spaces. To further these efforts, the Mayor has distributed washable masks with the City logo to hundreds of residents at walk-up/drive-through events over the last few weeks.
On Halloween, Saturday, October 31st the Mayor will be distributing Malden masks at the following locations:
- Salemwood School Flu Clinic from 10:30-11:30 AM. (Note that the Flu Clinic runs from 10 AM-3 PM, but the Mayor will be distributing masks from 10:30-11:30); and
- Lincoln Commons from 12-1 PM with City Councillor Neal Anderson.
“I ask residents to please use extreme caution while participating in Halloween activities this weekend,” said Mayor Christenson. “Please limit indoor gatherings, if you participate in trick or treating, avoid direct contact, give treats outdoors or set up a station with individually bagged treats for kids to take.” #MaskUpMalden
