Mayor Gary Christenson has launched a new free program to assist Malden businesses in recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The online program, entitled “Reimagining Retail Following Covid-19” is designed to teach businesses best practices to building a resilient business while ensuring safety for their customers. From enhanced safety cleaning protocols, accepting contactless payments, to best ways to attract and retain customers, the seminar will focus on several areas that will make a difference to consumers in 2021 and beyond. The three-part series will take place on April 27, May 4, and May 11 from 8-10 AM via Zoom.
Utilizing a grant by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, the City has retained the services of Matt Urban Marketing, a local digital marketing company with expertise in improving the customer-experience. The three-part seminar topics will include implementing new safety protocols, creating alternative revenues, and overcoming obstacles to implementation.
Additionally, the City will support businesses by running a marketing campaign to illuminate the efforts of our businesses to be as safe as possible for customers. With advertisements, banners, and social media campaigns, the focus will be to increase public awareness that Malden businesses are making a strong effort at customer safety.
“We are focused on helping our businesses elevate customer confidence in visiting them so that they continue to prosper,” noted Mayor Christenson. To register your Malden business for the seminar, or to learn more email Kevin Duffy at KDuffy@cityofmalden.org for more information.
