[ARCHIVED] MPD Welcomes Mental Health Clinician to Staff

Malden PD recently received a grant from the Department of Mental Health allowing us to hire a full-time mental health clinician.  We are pleased to announce that through our ongoing partnership with Eliot Community Human Services, we have been able to add Jail Diversion Clinician Vanessa Spero to our staff!  Vanessa will be assisting patrol officers and investigators during initial calls for service as well as conducting follow-ups with individuals in crisis or in need of services within our community.  Vanessa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in assisting those in need with issues such as substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health disorders.
