Mayor Gary Christenson, Fire Chief Steve Froio and Commissioner Emery Haskell recently presided over a promotional and swearing in ceremony promoting four officers and welcoming seven firefighters to the Fire Department. A warm welcome was given to family and friends in attendance.
Captain Richard Menard was promoted to Deputy Chief; Lieutenant Bradford Bianchi was promoted to Captain; Lieutenant Robert Hegarty was promoted to Captain; and Firefighter Kerry Howe was appointed to Lieutenant. Firefighters John-Charles Hanley, Nicholas DiLeo, Kyle Shaw, Sean Tirrell, Jayden Jean, Matthew Perry and Scott Shreenan were officially welcomed to the Department.
Commissioner Haskell invited family members to officially pin the promoted officers and new members while City Clerk Carol Ann Desiderio took the oaths and swore them in. The promotions and new hires are the result of retirements.
